Hi all - it's been a few months since I last updated my blog. If you're connected with me on social media, you know my job was unfortunately eliminated at the end of March. I keep hoping things will eventually get back to normal with the world we live in, but it seems like we keep inching farther and farther away from normal. As a result of the economic downturn we're all facing, Microsoft made tough decisions to reduce their workforce, which came as a byproduct of a reorganization at Microsoft. These things happen, but I for one am getting tired of hearing about RIFs all across the tech sector right now.
I'm thrilled to announce that I'm now working at AHEAD now as a Principal Solutions architect for Cloud and DevOps. AHEAD is a premiere AWS partner. AHEAD is also a partner with just about every major tech company in the market (Microsoft included). What does that mean for me, though? Well, I'm learning a lot and am finally jumping feet first into Amazon Web Services (AWS). I'm also digging in deep with Terraform, Elastic, and Harness. So much learning, so little time.
Stay tuned as I delve deeper into demystifying APIs for traditional infrastructure folks and start moving into more of what I'm learning on the cloud front.
